HCI + Persuasive Computing + Applied AI

Building
helpful apps

I'm a researcher and developer interested in how HCI, persuasive computing, and applied AI can come together to build software people actually benefit from. Currently at Dalhousie University, working on KosmoWalker and other tools that try to make everyday habits a little better.

A little about me

Currently building KosmoWalker

I'm a Master's student at Dalhousie University, exploring how HCI and persuasive computing can help build software that encourages healthier habits. I'm also curious about applied AI and how it can make everyday tools smarter and more personal.

Before grad school, I spent a few years as a developer, I worked on apps like Reskills (an e-learning platform with video tutorials and certifications) and Waapy (an OCR tool for document digitization using NLP), along with other projects in e-commerce and marketing automation. That experience taught me a lot about shipping real products and working closely with users.

Now, my focus has shifted toward research. I'm interested in understanding how we can design technology that genuinely cares about the people using it, whether that's through health interventions, smarter recommendations, or just more thoughtful interfaces.

Research Context
Inspired by the movement mechanics developed for KosmoWalker (my space-themed exergame project), this module tests continuous user engagement and reflex conditioning without the physical step-based input.
